Yeah, he stole my composition. Notice how old my painting is and when this other illustration was published. He's done it with another of my paintings. I noticed this particular cover when I was in Italy. I was annoyed.
Ok, I'm sorry. I thinked that was YOU the art thief, but I've noticed that your work was realized BEFORE that one of Barbieri... I'm pissed off and annoyed, and I think that I'll contact Barbieri to ask him expainations about all this... -.- I loved him, but now that I know that he's an art stoler...
Thanks for the apology and expressing your concern with the artist. It is very unprofessional behavior to copy another artist's painting. Mr. Paolo is risking all his creditability and could be blacklisted by publishers.
He did not respond to my efforts to contact him. Did you email him? Please let me know if he is showing the image on his website or any other website like deviantart.
Paolo is not subscrived to DA, he only have a personal website and a FB page; and I suppose he's very very clever, 'cause he uploaded ALL book covers he painted - but not the 'incriminated' one. By the way, you can stillsee it searching on the net, writing 'La missione di Sennar' on Google Images ._. You have all my support - and I'm not a Barbieri fan anymore, even if - as you have already noticed - he's a good artist. I'm disappointed.
this is beautiful - I love how it's meditative yet still has a sense of anticipation. the background could be more interesting, and the girl kind of pales in comparison with the dragon, but the piece is still stunning.

I really like this image. It is very inspiring for some reason. Some thing about how the girl looking kinda inocent and the dragon being dark and powerful. I love it! I think it is totally cool the way it is. How ever i would love to see some extra detail in the neck of the dragon, mainly adding some shadows around the bottom of the scales along the neck. You wanted critisism... But that was the only thing i could think of
