This is a new process for me using acrylics. It was a lot of fun and I like the direction. Now the challenge will be to approach the same technique and look with color.
Ever wish you could crawl inside another artist mind and see what makes them tick? I'm sure you've seen concepts of bots before, but I find this one a little more different and interesting Check out one of todays many features: Bot by karichristensen (Selected by ^syragon) (
No conscious method- just making shapes and painting out of my head. I find too many artists are caught up in method. But, some of the things I did with this are some washes and I used some spray paint, and some ink and a white out pen. . . .
hey, awesome use of acrylics. acrylics rock, they're so versatile. what technique were you using here? it looks kinda as if you've done it useing a watercolour technique and then added highlights in normal, from the tube, paint.
anyway, this is a great piece, well done.
Excellent painting man
It certainly does have a warhammer feel to it
but as you say that is understandable
Still love the feel of this guy
Who knows they might even use your designs for new minatures???!!!!!
Thanks for all the comments, I really appreciate them. This lifeless artist just read every entry It's a great feeling to do something that's shows a little piece of my twisted guts and find that there are people who enjoy the fun of it. I'm just having a lot of fun painting whatever pops up on the canvas.
A lot of people commented on the Warhammer look. I've been doing tons of paintings for the Warhammer card games the past year so that of course has influenced me a lot. But, the biggest influence for this was spontaneity. I didn't plan anything out. I just started attacking the canvas and enjoying the beauty of mutation and entropy and my own mistakes while I'm painting.
